St. Croix, US Virgin Islands
8/24/18-8/26/18
The Caribbean: colors of home.

In 2017, Hurricane Maria devastated this beautiful island, but I chose to highlight the beauty my heart saw.

Last morning in St. Croix, a moment I’ll never forget. The fishermen talking and laughing, the reds and aquas, the indescribable transcendent aroma of burning coals mixed with sea air, it all took me to my birthplace of Cuba, to my dad’s seaside hometown where fish-fries and family abound.

Thank you, St. Croix.

Bermuda will always be the marvelous place where I was freed of all desire to tell.

Unforgettable mother and son journey. Two artists, two dreamers, more alike than unalike.
